10am - 4pm
“If we learn to control our mind through correct meditation we can overcome all our fear and anxiety. Nothing will frighten us. Why is this so? Because all fear comes from the untamed mind."

About this course
Human life holds the rarest and most precious of opportunities. On this course, Buddha’s teachings on the practice of ‘giving’ will introduce us to that opportunity.
We will learn the true source of all our fears, self-grasping ignorance, and the mind that liberates us from this fear, ultimate bodhichitta. We will learn about these minds not abstractly, but in a direct, experiential meditation that touches our hearts.
These teachings are scientific, revealing universal truths about the nature of mind, existence, and our capacity to transform our world from the inside out. By using them sincerely, we will see through the mistaken appearance of a fearful world, our mind appearing instead a world of spiritual opportunity. This will lead us quickly to lasting peace, joy and fulfilment.
We hope you can join us.
What is an empowerment?
An empowerment bestows upon us special blessings that heal our mental continuum and awaken our Buddha nature. When we receive a Tantric empowerment we are sowing the special seeds of Buddhahood upon our mental continuum. When nurtured by subsequent spiritual practice, these potentials eventually ripen into realisations which directly produce enlightenment.
At this special event, we will receive the blessing empowerment of Buddha Arya Tara. By drawing close to Tara in this way, and by sincerely relying on her Tantric practice, we will be guided swiftly to enlightenment.
Everybody is welcome to come and enjoy this blessed event.
Read qualified teachings about authentic Tantra in Modern Buddhism.
Who is Buddha Arya Tara?
Buddha Arya Tara, often known as Green Tara, is a female Buddha, the manifestation of the ultimate wisdom of all Buddhas.
‘Tara’ means ‘Rescuer’. She is so called because she rescues us from the fears of this life and all our countless future lives.
If we rely upon Tara sincerely and with strong faith, she will protect us from all obstacles and fulfil all our wishes. Since she is a wisdom Buddha, and since she is a manifestation of the completely purified wind element, Tara is able to help us very quickly. In particular, she will help us to swiftly transform all the appearances of our life into the path to enlightenment.
