About this course
Many people feel instinctively drawn to the idea that their mind shapes their experience - that changing the way you see yourself and the world could lead to something far deeper than ordinary self-improvement. In the Buddhist tradition, Tantra is presented as a pure spiritual path to enlightenment, taught by Buddha Shakyamuni himself, which uses imagination, meditation, and wisdom to reveal the mind’s full enlightened potential and bring about the most profound inner transformation.
This introductory course explains the essential principles of Buddhist Tantra in a clear, grounded way, offering a framework for understanding what Tantra is and how it functions as a path to enlightenment. This understanding will help you decide whether to pursue Tantra further by receiving a Tantric empowerment, such as the Highest Yoga Tantra empowerment offered at this year’s New Kadampa Tradition Summer Festival.
You will:
Gain a clear framework for understanding Buddhist Tantra as an authentic spiritual path
Meditate on the mind to observe its creative power
Experience a Sutra meditation that uses imagination to ripen your Buddha potential, offering a taste of tantric meditation's qualities
Understand how Tantra is traditionally entered through empowerment and what the next steps involve
If you’re curious about Tantra and want an authentic introduction that helps you decide whether to explore this path further, this course provides a clear and informed starting point.
