Suitable for everyone, our weekly in-person meditation classes are a perfect opportunity to take a break from busy daily life and experience the benefits of meditation for yourself. 

Learn how to use Buddhist meditation & mindfulness training to increase your inner peace and happiness, improve relationships and solve daily problems. Classes include talks, guided meditation and Q&A.

ABOUT THIS CLASS:

Created with the problem of anxiety in mind, this class offers relaxation and Buddhist wisdom advice to aid a peaceful mind. Includes a short, optional prayer, a teaching and two guided meditations.

Current class theme; ‘Meditations for Resilience’. NOTE: This class has the same theme as our ‘Meditation & Daily Life’ classes but with a special emphasis on overcoming the problem of anxiety.

This recurring monthly class is for those who are interested in knowing the fundamentals of the Buddhist path before exploring further in our regular classes. After the class there is an opportunity for informal discussion and questions over refreshments in our cafe. Includes a short, optional prayer, a teaching and guided meditation.

FIND ANSWERS HERE

  • Our weekly in-person classes are suitable for beginners and those with more experience of meditation. Don’t worry if you miss the start of a series, as each class is self-contained. Simply turn up, a few minutes early if possible, come in, and make yourself at home. Jangchub Ling Centre is down to earth and relaxed; once you’ve been once, it will be your home from home.

  • We are a registered charity run entirely by volunteers, no-one receives a salary. The funds we receive are used to pay for our operating expenses in continuing our work of helping others.

  • Members of Jangchub Ling Centre can access several of our classes online. The link to a Zoom meeting can be found in the weekly membership emails. Online classes are indicated in the class info above.

  • No. People from all backgrounds attend JLC to find peace according to their own individual needs and wishes. Everybody is welcome.

  • Walk-ins are very welcome. You can pay on arrival (cash/card) or book online in advance. Block booking discounts are available.

  • No special clothing is needed. Our classes do not include any physical exercise and most people choose to sit on chairs, though classes held at JLC do have cushions available for sitting on the floor if you prefer.
