About this course
Many people struggle with self-doubt or feel uncertain about their abilities. Even when things are going well outwardly, it can be easy to fall into self-criticism and begin comparing ourself with others. These habits only undermine our confidence further.
Buddhist teachings explain that genuine confidence does not come from external approval but from understanding and developing the positive qualities already present within our mind.
Through sharing practical meditations to develop positive insights into your own innate strenghts, this course will help you to gradually reduce self-doubt and develop authentic confidence. This stable confidence naturally supports both your own happiness and your relationships with others.
This course teaches meditations that help you to:
Recognise and strengthen your innate positive qualities
Reduce self-doubt and unhelpful patterns of thinking
Develop a calm, stable sense of inner confidence
Discover how developing a peaceful mind naturally leads to genuine self-confidence.

Our courses have three parts:
Guided meditation
Every course includes a chance to practise meditation. No prior experience is necessary and all the meditations are guided.
Teaching
From Buddha’s teachings, these practical talks help us to solve our daily problems and find peace, happiness and, if we wish, a deeper purpose in our busy lives.
Discussion
A chance to discuss the topic of the talk and meditation with others during the break over refreshments. No one is ever ‘put on the spot’ and asked to talk in a class. The teacher will normally make time for questions, and will be happy to clarify any points during the class too.

Other than removing shoes before going in to the meditation room (they can be worn as normal elsewhere) and turning phones off during session, there are no special rules to follow. People are always very pleasantly surprised with just how informal, welcoming and down to earth Jangchub Ling is; you’ll feel right at home in no time.
